Guide to Configuring Outlook Multiple Profiles

Microsoft Outlook is powerful and intuitive software. It is called as email client software and is commonly used by all users. There are different versions of Outlook available and every new version has a new feature along. The latest Outlook version is Outlook 2010. It has a rich set of email management tools. The tools help you handle your messages via email better. They have an excellent interface which makes the Outlook popular among users. To configure Outlook is not at all rocket science. It is a very simple task. If you already have an email account then simply configure Outlook with the email.

It is quite likely that you will have multiple emails. In such a case you may want to configure Outlook and create a profile for every e-mail id. If you want to start a different profile every time you start Outlook program then you can do so. You just have configure Outlook accordingly. The following are the steps to configure Outlook 2010:


1. Open MS Outlook 2010.

2. On the left corner click Office.

3. Select Account Settings. This option is in the info category.

4. Click the drop down button in account settings.

5. Select Add Account.

6. Select the option Email Account.

7. Enter your name, email address and password in the respective sections.

8. Click Next.


Once the above steps are completed just sit back. It is the job of Outlook 2010 to do the rest. It will establish connection with the concerned and relevant network. Once the connection is established it will look for the relevant e-mail server settings. Then you will be automatically logged on to the server. The above process takes some time. Once the above process is completed, click Finish. You have configured your Outlook. It will take some time for the Outlook to download the mail messages from your inbox. Once that is done, your Outlook configuration is complete.

The various features of your Outlook 2010 can now be used for supervising your inbox. You can configure your profile, signatures, properties etc once you configure Outlook. It has various features like automated reply system, creating folders and saving messages in the folders, archiving messages, auto-updates, out-of-office assistant, scheduling meetings, online conferences, signatures etc. You can configure all these settings on your Outlook and give your mails a very professional and official look. This creates a good impression of working among your clients.
